3. Booking and Hire Agreement

All van hire bookings are subject to the following conditions:

  • You must be at least 21 years of age to hire a van from VanHire.UK.com.
  • A valid UK or EU driving licence must be held for a minimum of 12 months.
  • A security deposit may be required at the time of collection.
  • Hire periods are calculated on a 24-hour basis from the time of collection.
  • Late returns may incur additional charges at the applicable daily rate.
  • All vehicles must be returned in the same condition as collected, allowing for fair wear and tear.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices displayed on VanHire.UK.com are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. Pricing may vary by location, vehicle type, and hire duration. We reserve the right to amend pricing at any time, though confirmed bookings will be honoured at the agreed rate. Payment is required in full prior to or at the point of vehicle collection.

5. Insurance and Liability

All hire vehicles include basic Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) insurance as standard. This covers damage to the hire vehicle subject to an excess amount, which varies by vehicle type. Additional insurance options may be available at the time of booking.

The hirer is responsible for any damage to the vehicle not covered by insurance, including but not limited to: damage to tyres, windscreens, the underside of the vehicle, and any damage caused by negligence or misuse.

6. Vehicle Use

Hire vehicles must only be used for lawful purposes. The following uses are strictly prohibited:

  • Transporting hazardous, illegal, or prohibited materials.
  • Sub-letting or lending the vehicle to third parties.
  • Using the vehicle for racing, off-road driving, or any other purpose for which it was not designed.
  • Driving the vehicle outside of the United Kingdom without prior written consent.
  • Overloading the vehicle beyond its stated capacity.

7. Free Delivery and Collection

VanHire.UK.com offers free delivery and collection for all hire vehicles within our standard service areas. Delivery and collection times are subject to availability and may be arranged at the time of booking. We will make every reasonable effort to deliver and collect vehicles at the agreed times, but cannot be held liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control.

8. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled collection time will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled collection time may be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to one day's hire charge. No-shows or cancellations made after the scheduled collection time will be charged the full hire amount.
